Joseph Elijah Mugarura

Joseph, who serves as an Associate at Kampala Associated Advocates, is a dynamic and seasoned legal professional with extensive experience ranging from Corporate & Commercial, Banking and Finance, Tax and Litigation practice areas. He is a graduate of Makerere University. He also obtained a post graduate diploma in legal practice from the Law Development Centre. He is an Advocate of the High Court and all courts subordinate thereto.

Joseph possesses multi-jurisdictional experience having worked with a list of varied clients in South Africa, Mauritius, Kenya, China, UK, USA, India, and Uganda, who are household names, ranging from micro finance institutions, money lending businesses, angel investors and venture capitalists among others. He is imbued with extensive knowledge of corporate and commercial law, intellectual property law, employment law, tax law, Immigration law, Estate planning, debt collection and recovery, land conveyancing among other areas of legal practice.

Joseph is an avid reader and member of a Book Club. He also participates in a number of charity activities centered on children, orphans in particular, health and preservation of the environment.
